Genetics

It is estimated that up to 10% of women diagnosed with ovarian cancer carry a gene mutation. Through genetic testing this gene may be identified, allowing families to be informed about their possible risks. This section will describe in more detail the process of genetic counseling and when genetic testing is appropriate.
